Uncalloused

Apparently my midsection wasn't the only thing to go soft during my CF hiatus. I also appear to have lost what callused protection my hands used to enjoy. The over-sized, well knurled pull-up and deadlift bars at the DAC have just destroyed them. Luckily they'll get a break today with this random selection:

AMRAP in 15 min of:
  • 10 push ups
  • 10 box jumps - 32" box

Results:
  • Seth - 12 Rds, 33" box, did jumps first by mistake

I got so anxious to prove to gallery of the gawkers that I could do the 33" jumps (it looks impressively high when you use 15 of those little plastic squares under each side of the aerobics step) that I forgot to start with the push-ups.

Fifteen minutes was PLENTY!

I did the same thing the last time I went to JP Fitness. One of the trainers there was bragging about the 38" box jumps JP likes to do, so I had to set up something higher. :-p Can't be shown up by a cheerleader.

I'm surprised you had enough head room in there to do box jumps that high. Did them in the Aerobics room, I take it?

Tried the aerobics room, but hit my head on the ceiling if I stood up on the boxes. Had to move near the front desk area where the ceiling is a bit higher. Had about 5 inches clearance there. Was told I could go to the treadmill room if I needed to which has a higher ceiling. Would have to for 38"+ jumps should those come up.
Couldn't talk anyone else into joining me today for some reason.
