On paper,

this doesn't look too tough. Guess we'll find out.

"081204" - 5 Rounds For Time:
  • 10 steps walking lunge - 50# DB
  • 15 DB Swings - 50#
To clarify, use the same single dumbbell for each exercise, 5 steps per leg on the lunges each round.

Results:
  • Seth - 4:16, 50# DB
  • James - 5:17, 50# DB
  • Laura - 6:44, 35# DB
  • Jason - 7:07, 50# DB

That was quick, but not easy. Ran out of air in the fourth round. My legs are definitely feeling those lunges now.

Ditto, seth. Except it's my ass feeling the lunges instead of my legs. Maybe I'm doing them wrong...

What workout? I'm still high on being able to do a consistent string of double unders!

7.07 followed by 7500# from ground to overhead - 115# @ 66 reps in 16.40. bleh x 2. naptime.

7500# is almost a double "Grace" (4050#) That sounds exhausting. Might have to try something like that sometime just for 'fun'.

i got the workout from the mainsite video today. it was a women's qualifying working for the games. they did 5000# and from their times, it's obvious any one of them would soundly defeat me at any workout.

In your defense, they were no doubt using bumper plates and dropping the bar from overhead, which drastically decreases the work performed.

But yeah, they'd still prolly pwn your face off like a bad travolta movie.

Mad props on the face off reference. What a beatifully terrible movie.
