Monday – Linda (Three Bars of Death)

Today's going to be a punisher. We're going to do Linda with my weight @ 160.

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Rep rounds of:

  • 1.5xBW Deadlift (240lbs)
  • 1xBW Bench Press (160lbs)
  • .75BW Clean (120lbs)

I'm nervous already.

This workout has earned its nickname, this is going to be brutal. I'm glad Justin's such a lightweight. I couldn't do this for my bodyweight.

Things would get much tougher if factoring in my weight at almost 205.
DL - 305 (No way!)
BP - 205 (Maybe?)
Clean - 150 (Ouch!)

Maybe someday...

My first time finishing Linda! Should probably have gone heavier on the bench press, but the deadlift and cleans were all I could handle.

For anyone wondering, Justin almost finished, lacking only the last 10 reps of each for completion.

Note: Used 165# on BP due to lack of 2.5 lb plates.

I don't even know what to say about this failure. I have a handful of excuses to throw at it, but I just plain ran out of steam on the 6 rep round. I tried to scramble over the wall and pushed through to the four rep round, but couldn't manage to dig deep enough today.

i only used 70lb dumbbells and did suitcase DLs, subbed 45 lb weighted dips for the BP (should've gone higher) and did 45lb dumbbell cleans. so this was not a "Linda"...merely a wannabe substitution. justin, you are still my hero.
