Quite Contrary

Haven't done too many of the standard girl-named workouts lately. Here's one that I thought would be fun.

"Mary"
AMRAP in 20 minutes of:
5 Handstand Push-Ups
10 Pistols (1 legged squat) -- 5 each leg.
15 Pull-Ups

Results:
Seth: 8 Rounds + HSPU + Pistols + 5 Pull-ups
Jason: 6 Rounds
Shiloh: 6 Rounds - sub 100# Back squats for pistols

I'm really feeling the effects of those pistols. Almost had time for 9 complete rounds, still much better than the 6 rounds I managed back in November. All sets of HSPU were unbroken.

that's funny because i was going to do either joshie or mary today if you guys didn't workout. i got 6 rounds right on the money. i had to use the door frame assisted pistols, however. those things are tough! nice work on almost 9 rounds, seth...i can't imagine squeezing in 3 more.

Forgot to post last night.

6 rounds with sub:

Wasn't strong enough to do the pistols.
Sub: 100 lbs Back squats (was going to do 95, but that extra 5 made it sound better)

I don't know if it was the heat or a bad dinner, but my problem was being light headed. I was having little to no problems with the exercises, but felt like I was going to pass out between exercises (especially after the HSPU). So, i had to rest in front of the fan too much. Its going be be murder in the garage this summer.

Oh yeah...I was feeling bad last night for skipping out of the pistols, but it was clear today that the 100lb squats were plenty.

and Seth...almost 9 rounds with pistols is impressive
