Late week heroism

CrossFit HQ has posted two hero workouts this week. It is only appropriate that we do at least one of them.

"DT" - 5 Rounds For Time:
  • 12 Deadlifts - 155 lbs
  • 9 Power Cleans - 155 lbs
  • 6 Push Jerks - 155 lbs

In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.

This one is a bit similar to one we've done before.

Results:
  • Melanie - 13:52, sub 65#
  • Laura - 15:10, sub 65#
  • Seth - 17:22, as Rx'd
  • Jason - 23:10, sub 135#, HPCs, push presses
  • Abby - DNF, 3 rds in 13:15, sub 55#
  • James - DNF, 3 2/3 rds in 19:58, sub 135#

Great job today Laura, thanks for joining us.

My apologies to everyone. I copied the workout incorrectly. The actual prescription calls for Hang Power Cleans, rather than Power Cleans from the floor. We did some extra work our way.

23:10. 135#, HPCs, and push presses (some push jerks but mostly presses.) that was a grip killer for me.
