Wednesday – “Mikey”

This is a modified version of "Mikhael," which is a modified version of "Michael." We love our modifications….


FOR TIME

  • 1/2mi run
  • 50 Back Extensions (or supermans)
  • 50 Sit-ups on decline bench, highest decline. (or atomic sit-ups.)
  • 1/2mi run
  • 50 Back Extensions (or supermans.)
  • 50 Knees-to-Elbows
  • 100 Double-unders (or tuck-jumps)
  • 50 Back Extensions (or supermans.)
  • 50 Unanchored sit-ups.

Justin would have definitely had the faster time today had it not been for the tuck-jump sub. Double-unders proved to be much quicker.

Oh, and I detest running on treadmills. Killed one, and had to abandon another that couldn't maintain a consistent speed today.

This is another workout where being shorter helps your score.

Geometry and physics being what they are, having a shorter torso makes for a shorter and lighter lever arm, so less moment on the point of rotation, so less work to be done to open and close the angle. This helps me a lot with back extensions, anchored sit-ups, and KTE. My unanchored sit-ups still suck though, due to my scrawny light lower legs.

Fortunately, Seth runs and double-unders as fast as any crossfitter I've seen in person or in videos, so he can easily make up for my piddly advantages and crush my score.


I don't know what excuse I can make for Shiloh beating me all the time, but I'll come up with one JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE.

As always, nice work dudes. I managed to get a modded JT done in my hotel room. Had to sub 2-chair dips. Took about 20 mins I think. Gah. Bedtime.
