Beating the beasts

Today we'll be borrowing from the video posted about a month ago. How will the infidels fare in comparison to the beasts of CrossFit as featured in the video?

"Freddy's Revenge" - 5 Rounds For Time:
  • 5 Push Jerk - 185#
  • 10 Burpees
Scale weight as appropriate.

RESULTS:
Seth - 12:03 as Rx'd
James - alternate workout, a Painstorm no less.

I introduced my friend Ron to the term "painstorm" at 10Fitness today; specifically PainStorm XXXI. He used 25# DBs and waived the white flag after 27:42. I finished in 26:30 with 35# DBs, about 3 minutes faster than last time. It was an official hello to CrossFit for him and a nice reminder for me that manmakers are the devil.

Ah, what a nice introduction to the DNF. I still remember my first time...

Didn't get to "Freddy's Revenge" till after work. Don't seem to have as much energy that time of day, but it may just have been the workout. Those Push Jerks were tough the first round, but holy crap they were harder the second+ rounds. I was just happy to finish. Still work to do before I can hang with those CF beasts in the video.
