No presidents

CrossFit doesn't have any workouts named for presidents, but they do have Hero workouts. Guess that will have to serve.

"Mr. Joshua" - 5 Rounds for Time:
  • Run 400 meters
  • 30 GHD Sit-Ups (or atomic sit-ups)
  • 15 Deadlifts - 250#

Results:
    Note, atomic sit-ups substituted for GHD Sit-Ups
  • Jennifer - ~20:30, 3 Rounds, sub 50# DL
  • Abby - 25:52, 3 Rounds, sub 50# DL
  • Melanie - 26:21, 3 Rounds, sub 95# DL
  • James - ~30:07, 4 1/3 Rounds, sub 155# DL, elliptical

There's nothing like starting out the week with a DNF! I began to lose control of my deadlift form in round 4 and could feel some strain on my knee innards. So I decided not to push it any further and throw in the towel rather than re-agrivate anything. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with baby steps when it comes to my knees.

That workout was one in which there's no shame in a DNF. I'm almost glad the 'GHD' was taken over today. The atomic sit-ups were plenty tough.
