Your opinion is important. (Poll ---------->)

Hey, folks. Just to kinda test the water, I've put up an anonymous poll on the right column here. Please read over this post and vote, if you can spare the time.

As the group grows, it becomes more apparent all the time that we're outgrowing our space. We're currently working with the owner at Bowman Fitness to best be able to do our thing within the limitations that the facility offers, without adversely affecting their business to the point that they kick us out.

The ideal situation would be for us to have our own gym, but unfortunately financial and life matters are not currently conducive to it. That being said, we'd like to know how much, if anything, it would be worth (to you personally) to have access to equipment and a space more tailored to our training goals.

Be clear, we're not talking about a nice 70-degree facility with mirrored walls and precor treadmills and ellipticals. For our budget, this would likely be some converted storage or commercial space, sparsely populated with our own personal equipment. Barbells with steel weights, climbing ropes, tires to flip, sledgehammers, pull-up bars, things like that.

As I said, this is just testing the water, I just wanted to see if the support was there if we actually decided to some day move in this direction. Thanks in advance for your time, and please feel free to post to comments or don't.

I think for me it would also depend on where this workout space was located--(NLR, WLR, etc) and also if we would have access to a shower. If not, this would mean for a lot of us that we'd have to do it after work.

I absolutely agree. This entirely theoretical place would need to be in west little rock, probably, and would definitely have to have some sort of shower facility to make the mid-day thing work. (Especially if it lacked air conditioning... *shudder*)

I'm excited! I agree about the showers and the WLR location and I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the AC. Also, while this thing is in the theoretical stage, we may want to add some loud Metallica CDs and nudie posters to the plans.

i ended up running into some of the people that complained about us about bowman. seems like they were more into creating drama than really being bothered by us being there. with that said, i think we need to have a discussion with the owner ourselves. if they are going to continue to sit around and stare at us, laughing and making fun during our workout, i want my $85 sign up fee back.

I've actually talked to the owner a couple of times. He's a pretty cool guy and is being as accommodating as possible. I'd like to talk to you about these other people you're referring to.
