(Lack of) Skill Day

Sorry for the late post, I had thought Justin was picking the workout today. As he's out sick, I decided to work on some things I hadn't done much of in a while: Snatches & Double-unders.

Snatch
1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps
Note weight lifted. Go for max by last round.

Followed by:

Double-Unders
500 Reps For Time

Results:
Seth: Snatch: 95,95,105,115,125,130(f),130(f) DU: 11:54

Really need to work on form for the Snatch lift. Very disappointed in the lifts today. It felt terrible. Calves now a bit sore from the DUs, though the forearms were the limiting factor during the workout. It's tough keeping the rope speed up.

i did my workout earlier...which turned out to be ok since i don't have the right equipment for snatches/double-unders.

today i did barbara:
5 rounds for time
20 pullups
30 pushups
40 situps
50 squats

i don't know if it's because i did 100 burpulls for time on saturday...or because i didn't eat enough beforehand today...or because i'm just old...but this thoroughly kicked my butt. 35:49. L.A.M.E.

There's nothing wrong with finishing Barbara in that amount of time. I did it a few months back, and including the prescribed 3 min rest b/t rounds and finished in just under 45 minutes. Wish I'd done that one today instead.

how nice of the seals site to OMIT the rests between rounds. no matter, i had plenty of stops during the workout...particularly during the sqauts.

on a separate note: justin needs to get on ebay and purchase some immunities.
