The mainsite has been posting some cool workouts lately, so we're going to co-opt another recent posting. Today's WOD is yesterday's mainsite WOD. It is:
The Chief
Max rounds in 3 minutes of:
- 3x Power Clean @ 135lbs
- 6x Push-up
- 9x Squats (unladen)
Rest 1 minute. Repeat for a total of 5 cycles.
Results:
Seth - 5+PC,4,4,4,4
Justin - 5,4+PC,4,3+PC+PU,3+PC
Jason - 3,3,2+PC,2,2+PC - used 2x65# DBs for Power Cleans

cleaning 65# DBs off the floor is lame. have i ever mentioned the fact that i need a barbell?
DBs, ugh. Glad I had a barbell!
That was an excellent workout today. Squats were definitely my least favorite part, though the power cleans got pretty tough in the later rounds.
Math time (totals): 66 power cleans, 126 push-ups, 189 squats
When I looked at the workout, I planned on doing it as rx. I just couldn't seem to get that together. I had a brain fart and thought power snatch instead of power cleans. I decided 135 lb power snatch sounded heavy and dropped it to 115 lbs.
I realized my error after round 3. I could have done 135 power cleans, but kept the 115 lb for the last two rounds as well. I also did 8 or 10 push-ups atleast 1/3 of the time; six just came so quickly it was hard to stop.
I had stop watch (no timer), but I was able to get close to 3 min almost every time.
I just did 4 rounds and then waited until the next starting time.

Good to have my garage back and some cool weather is nice too.
